Luddendefoot School
  • We were asked to design a sympathetic two-classroom extension and to refurbish the existing Victorian school to the standard of the new building. This image shows the school prior to refurbishment and extension.
  • As work progressed the scheme grew to include a stone gabion retaining wall cut into the hillside to accommodate an enlarged play ground with soft play surface. This image shows the new extension and playground.
  • The first floor level of the extension provided accommodation for the new induction class. The class has it's own secure play ground with soft surfacing and grassed areas.
  • This image shows the interior view of the new reception classroom showing the rooflight and duo-pitch ceiling. The rooflight floods the room with natural light.
